Kathmandu, May 5: Chief Justice Sushila Karki, who was facing impeachment motion registered at the parliament, has returned to the office as per the apex court’s interim order.
Karki came to the office and resumed her judicial work this evening, informed Associate Spokesperson of the SC, Biswo Raj Poudel.
The impeachment motion was registered against her at the parliament on the matter of promotion of Deputy Inspector General of Nepal Police to IGP.
A single bench of the apex court Justice Cholendra Shumsher Rana issued an interim order in the name of defendant to allow her to resume judicial functions from today. RSS
