Kathmandu, April 10: The meeting of the Constitutional Council on Sunday recommended the senior-most Justice at the Supreme Court, Sushila Karki, for the post of Chief Justice.
With the recommendation, the Supreme Court is getting the first woman Chief Justice in its history.
Chief Justice Kalyan Shrestha is retiring on age limit from April 13.
Karki has been serving as the permanent Justice in the SC since November 2010.
She will serve for around 13 months as Chief Justice of the country. RSS
