HLPM meeting suggests government to function more effectively

Kathmandu, Jan 31: A meeting of the high level political mechanism held at Singha Durbar on Sunday concluded to keep unity among the ruling coalition of political parties and make the government more functional and effective.

The meeting also drew the conclusion that despite crippling Indian unofficial blockade function of the government was focused towards making positive steps to give respite to the people. samyantra

Meanwhile, talking to media persons after the meeting, Deputy Prime Minister Chitra Bahadur KC, also chairman of Rastriya Janamorcha, shared that the meeting focused on current political issue, Prime Minister’s upcoming Indian state visit and current performance of the government among others.

He said that it was also decided to make the government more functional keeping in mind the frustrations gripping Nepali people due to the failure of the government to do the needful to address the current crisis as expected.

Likewise, UCPN (Maoist) General Secretary Krishna Bahadur Mahara said that the meeting also decided to work much for the welfare of the people.

Mahara also said discussions were held to address the demands of protesting Madhes-based political parties through dialogue and adopt future course in the context of agitating parties partially accepting the constitution after its amendment.

He said that the meeting also suggested making ground work for PM’s upcoming state visit to India noting that the visit should be cantered to serve the national interest of Nepal. RSS
