Bhojpur, Dec 23: President Bidya Devi Bhandari has said Nepal has got a new constitution through a fully democratic process, and it has met the long-held aspiration of the Nepalis. The State should now focus on its effective implementation.
Inaugurating on Wednesday the Golden Jubilee celebration of the Bhojpur Multiple Campus, where she once a student, President Bhandari said time has come for all Nepalis to learn lesson from paucity and crisis and utilize the country’s capacities to battle the odds. “If we learn from past misery and demonstrate our competence, it doesn’t take long to propel development activities,” she stressed.
According to her, the need at present is to make Nepal, mired in dependency for long, a self-reliant nation. Agriculture, forest and tourism were the sectors to focus attention for national prosperity, added the President.
The district people had honoured President Bhandari on the occasion.
On Wednesday itself, President Bhandari reached her ancestral home and met with her relatives at Guranse of Manebhanjyang VDC of the district. RSS
