Kasthamandap plane crashes, pilot dead, passengers injured

12767754_10207159426295245_960433316_n[1]Kathmandu, Feb 26: In yet another air fatality, a plane of Air Kasthamandap crashed at Paragaun at Chilkhaya VDC-2 in Kalikot district today noon, killing the pilot and injuring nine passengers.

The plane (9NAJB) that took off for Jumla from Nepalgunj crashed in Kalikot, according to a local Nanda Bahadur Katuwal.
It may be noted that just two days ago, Tara Air’s plane crashed at Dana VDC in Myagdi, killing all 23 including crew members on board.
Meanwhile, the District Police Office (DPO) in Kalikot has confirmed about the incident of the plane crash. According to the DPO, police personnel have been sent to the incident site and detail information about the incident is yet to come.
Likewise, a team from a police post at Serawada has left for the accident site. The incident site is around five hours walk from the district headquarters of Kalikot. Identity of the deceased pilot is yet to be known, while nine other passengers were injured including a minor.
Of the injured receiving treatment the health post in Chilkhaya, one is in serious condition, said Katuwal. The front part of the ill-fated plane is reported to have been damaged completely. RSS
